Religious Education
The Religious Education Program at St. Andrew’s Parish provides instruction to elementary children enrolled in public schools. The catechists and staff of the Religious Education Program endeavor to assist the parents in the ongoing faith formation of their children. RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a formation process in which adults begin to experience what it means to be a Catholic. It is a process for welcoming adult newcomers (inquirers) into the Roman Catholic Church.
Inquirers come from a variety of backgrounds:
persons not baptized
persons baptized in the Roman Catholic Church but not evangelized or
completely initiated
persons baptized in another Christian church, but in need of further
instruction and initiation.
The Sacraments of Initiation, Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist are celebrated at the Easter Vigil.
Classes are held on Monday evenings from 7:15 to 9:00 PM.
For information about registering for adult classes to become a member of the Catholic Church and to receive the Sacraments of Initiation contact Sr. Joan Krukoski at 201-437-9062, email: reled9062@verizon.net or call St. Andrew’s Rectory, 201-437-0833.
